Laurel Senior Friendship Club meets in the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center, 7120 Contee Road, Laurel, MD 20707.
The Laurel Senior Friendship Club began with 6 women meeting to share the joy of growing old together. We were organized on February 1, 1966 with 28 chapter members. Our club was chartered as the “Laurel Senior Friendship Club” on July 9, 1969 by the Division of Services and Programs for the Aging of Prince George County.
It is the goal of the Laurel Senior Friendship Club to make the remaining years in the lives of our senior citizens as rewarding, active, interesting and independent as possible.
It is the Mission of the Laurel Senior Friendship Club to help seniors feel that they are still important, appreciated and respected. We firmly believe that getting their participation in social, educational and productive activities is the best “Anti-Aging” potion there is! This is what the Laurel Senior Friendship Club tries to provide for seniors.
The Laurel Senior Friendship Club maintains an office in the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center where seniors sign up for trips, classes and special activities. The Club office is open 5 days a week from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. In addition to assisting members on Club matters, documents and brochures are routinely dispersed, bulletin boards are maintained and handicap equipment is provided.
During office hours, a copying machine, computer and telephone are made available to our members at no charge.
