On Thursday, May 15, 2014 a number of our LSFC members attended the 42nd Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon at The Camelot by Martin’s, in Upper Marlboro, MD. A small bus was provided by the LBSAC to transport those who needed transportation to the event. The Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon recognizes the valuable services of the Foster Grandparent (FGP) and Retired and Senior Volunteer (RSVP) Programs of Prince George’s County. The luncheon included an overview of both programs showcased, and highlighted the social and fiscal impact of the varied senior services provided to the Prince George’s County community. The Honorable Steny Hoyer was the keynote speaker.
