The President’s Corner – October 2014

Presidents CornerHello members,
Our Travel Committee planned another interesting trip to Niagara Falls and Toronto which left on Monday September 29th and returned on Friday October 3rd. We tip our hats to Joe and Carol Skladany who were our tour guides. They both went out of their way to assure that all 43 travelers were taken care of in
every way. Thanks Joe and Carol for making this trip so enjoyable.

The weather was superb! Wednesday we toured Casa Loma, Canada‟s most famous Castle. It was beautiful! On Thursday we took a boat ride up to the Falls.
Even though we had ponchos on, my pants, from my knees down to my shoes, were soaking wet. This trip gave me time, on the bus and at meal time, to share with other members of the Club and get to know them better. Thank you all for a very enjoyable time together.

I want to express my appreciation to our Nominating Committee for their work in finding members willing to serve as Officers of our Club. I also want to thank each of those members for their willingness to serve.

November is the month in which we acknowledge our members who are  Veterans and served our country in time of war and peace. No words can adequately express our deep appreciation to all who served. May God Bless each of you.

This is also a time for us to give thanks, praise, and Thanksgiving – Psalm 106:1 says “O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name: make known His deeds among the people”. Members of our Club, your Executive Committee wishes each of “YOU” a very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving.
“The Bible is the bread of life and it never gets stale”.
God Bless,
