President’s Corner – December 2015

Presidents CornerDear Members,
On behalf of the Officers, Chairs, Co-Chairs, and Membership; I extend our deepest appreciation to Betty Mannas for the many years she served as our Treasurer. We are very pleased that Betty will continue to serve as our Telephone Coordinator.

I’m pleased to see our monthly meeting attendance has improved. Thank you ALL for your support and please encourage others to attend.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU is extended to our Nominating Committee which included Millie Lindenberger, Ann Mecanko, Shirley Denell, and Giles Mills. At our October meeting, Millie extended an opportunity for the membership to
nominate perspective officers from the floor. My sincere thanks, to you the membership, for electing me for a fifth year to serve you as president. Along with the other Officers, we will do our best to live up to your expectations.

I also want to thank our members who worked our annual Craft Show, especially Pat Harding who got the Crafters and organized the Show. Her team of workers included: Esther Mills, Barbara Brent, Chris Cole, and Jane Hundertmark (who
manned the LSFC tables) and Iris Gorman, Elaine Headley, and Dottie Seligh (who handled the Kitchen). A Special Thank You to Carol Kosydar and her workers Margaret Barker, Millie Bartlett, Barbara Hall, and Tommie Ronemus who held the Bake Sale.

I am looking forward to 2016, our 50th Anniversary year. Special plans are being made under the capable leadership of Nan Tripp and Dominic Giachino. The Anniversary Committee is planning some special events at several meetings, i.e. coming in September a “Dinner and Dance” and in October a Special 50th Anniversary Royal Caribbean Cruise on October 22-31, 2016. So, please make plans to support each monthly meeting and sign up for the Anniversary Cruise. The Mayhugh’s have already signed up and are on the 3rd deck. Let’s have a
good number of us go on this very special cruise.

The Leadership of the LSFC wishes each member a blessed, healthy, and prosperous holiday season.

Even when we don’t sense God’s presence, His loving care is all around us.
God Bless,
Ron
